Summary on Grant Application Form
The Advanced Technology Institute was the highest-rated bid in the first round of the Joint Infrastructure Funding. Occupation of the new building and facilities is scheduled for June-September 2002. The aim of the ATI is to undertake single- and multi-disciplinary research in areas that include large area display electronics, microwave circuits, and optoelectronics in Si and BIN materials. This Platform Grant bid is to underpin both strategic objectives of the AT], namely a capability to fabricate high-qualiy devices to enable our existing research to continue to advance the world state-of-the-art, and to enable new interdisciplinary programmes through the use of shared clean-room facilities.
