Summary on Grant Application Form
The scope of the use of microreactors for the selective and per-fluorination of a variety of organic substrates, such as diketones, ketoesters, diesters, ketophosphonates, aromatics, heterocyclics, etc. bearing a range of substituents where appropriate, will be established. The advantages of usings microreactors for fluorination reactions (high throughput, increased safety, controllability, etc.) will be developed. Furthermore benefits of 'scale-out' (i.e. parallel replication of single channel systems) will be developed by the fabrication of various mufti-channel devices.
