Summary on Grant Application Form
The project will focus on finite-length and pure-injective modules over generalised Weyl algebras. These types of modules are linked by the fact that the pure-injective hull of an indecomposable module of finite-length is a point of the Ziegler spectrum. In general the categories of such modules are wild but we will focus on cases where they are tame and on partial description of the spectrum. The project will consider general features of proof of Vaught's Conjecture for modules over certain types of ring and will aim for general conditions, in the context of modules, which imply the truth of Vaught's Conjecture.
