Panel History:
Summary on Grant Application Form
We believe that the most effective and appropriate use of expertise built up over more that five years in the UK HPCI Centres is via a High-End Computing (HEC) Collaboration for core support. We will look to work with the HSC Technology Watch Panel (TWP) and target emerging areas in computing to inform and provide advice to the HEC user community in development of hardware and software, in new tools, in best practice code development and data management, in visualisation, virtual reality and in metacomputing solutions. The objective is, via collaboration between experienced support centres and the HEC user community, including mentoring of scientific PDRAs, to facilitate rapid development of world-leading application codes and to make the most cost effective use of UK computing facilities.
