Summary on Grant Application Form
The Hydrogen Energy Network will be open to anyone interested in the development of the hydrogen energy economy. The network will be organised through a steering committee, which will include representation from each of the main academic disciplines and industrial sectors encompassed by the network. These areas include hydrogen generation; storage, transmission, and transport; end-use technologies; safety; autonomous systems; large scale systems; and economics. The main activity will be a series of general and specialist workshops, backed up by e-mail discussion group(s), WWW pages and newsletters. At the end of the three years of EPSRC funding it is intended that the network will be self-sustaining.The final output from the network, at the end of three years, will be a set of recommendations on how to implement the hydrogen economy onlocal, national, and international scales.
