Our objectives will be met by:*the innovative use of 'piggy back' in service training to introduce and train new engineering users to neutron and synchrotron strain measurement*workshops for training and advice on the analysis of data*workshops between teams with different areas of expertise in order to tackle new problems and to extend the technique/compare with traditional methods *production of a 6 monthly newsletter to inform industry of the wide range of problems which can be tackled *working with the neutron and synchrotron user groups to provide a mechanism for the community led development and design of multi-million pound new instruments at the ILL and ISIS (ENGIN-X)*production of training CD ROM software for introducing students and new users to the technique *setting up a library of analysis algorithms for new users to use
