Summary on Grant Application Form
In the proposed work, computer programs will be written for data acquisition and data analysis from high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) equipment and from the Sirius logP instruments now under development. The UCL computer programs for the calculation of compound parameters will be re-written and incorporated into the overall package, and completely new software will be written for the revision and inclusion of the UCL database of compound parameters. Further programs will be incorporated that will provide the user with a comprehensive package for the determination of compound parameters from the experimental HPLC and logP data, the validation of the compound parameters, and the prediction of important chemical and biochemical properties. The package will contain the mathematical models already devised for a number of important predictions, and the necessary tools for the user to construct his own models for the prediction of other chemical and biochemical properties.
