Summary on Grant Application Form
This programme aims to develop the organic vacuum deposition system at QMW which has been built using College and Royal Society funding. We aim to use this system to fabricate organic light emitting devices and to better understand their degradation mechanisms. We will be performing a systematic study of the role of impurities and interfaces. In addition we will use the system to provide samples of both devices and thin films to collaborators in order to pump-prime future research proposals.
