The proposed study has the following inter-related objectives:1) Identify the current status of and the future developments in international research in the areas of Intelligent Manufacturing and Management Control Systems.2) Assessment of the relevant technologies and methodologies and identification of the ones that are considered to be critical in the long run.3) Interact with leading researchers and establish reassert/collaborative links with academic as well as industrial groups.4) Identify opportunities for long term research which will make a difference in the decades to come.5) Develop leading edge, long term, research activities in this important area of work.
