This proposal is based upon the use of numerical quantum Monte-Carlo simulation, which gives rise to imaginary time Green's function statistical errors. The problems posed by the analytic continuation of imaginary time Green's functions to the real frequency axis will be investigated in detail. This will be accomplished by treating the inversion of the first kind Fredholm equation involved by the theory of singular systems. The methods developed with be applied to single and multi-band Hubbard models. The procedures will be tested by comparing with exact results from small model systems. Quantum and Monte-Carlo variational methods will be used to measure the change stiffness of these systems.
