Summary on Grant Application Form |
This is a proposal to establish a network with the aim of furthering our understanding of electronic transport in magnetic nanostructures. The network seeks to bring together expertise in theory, growth and structural characterisation with a view to encompassing the crucial aspects of the problem of transport in ultra-thin layered materials. It is felt that this broad approach will lead to new collaborations and the network will thus act as a springboard for new work. The activities of the network will include annual workshops (open to about 40 participants and up to 3 international speakers), biennial members' meetings and inter-laboratory exchanges.
