Summary on Grant Application Form
The project aims at a mathematical and engineering study of flow of polymer with or without fibres under complex multiaxial flow, model the fibre and molecular orientation process, predict orientation patterns and their effects on strength of pipes. Use this knowledge to design dynamic dies which produce a predetermined fibre orientation pattern for extrusion of strong composite pipes.
