|
The UK membership of the EMFL is funded by the EPSRC. This has enabled the UK community to access the well-established facilities of the EMFL, to benefit from expert support from the local staff, and to establish joint activities. Funds from the EPSRC cover marginal costs for the UK access to the EMFL, including travel costs for the UK users. These are approximately half of the full running costs, i.e. they do not cover costs for the installations themselves or their depreciation. Prof. Amalia Patanè (The University of Nottingham) is a member of the EMFL Council and has overall responsibility for the UK Membership of the EMFL on behalf of the EPSRC.
