Summary on Grant Application Form
The proposed research is to be based on the successive areas (1) , (2) listed in 'Objectives' above. The VF, PI and co-l are to check on and discuss the formulations for the new problems involved in areas (1) (violent impacts of water with a solid surface or with a water layer), (2) (cushioning effects of the air gap), taking account of recent studies performed. The VF is to help especially with analysing area (1) and, if possible, area (2). Comparisons and guidance on computations are to be addressed with emphasis on accuracy and gridding. The order of working is envisaged as (1)-(2).A promising cooperation has started up between the PI, co-l and VF, and the added value of the visit would be in the tailored analysis / computations, qualitative or quantitative comparisons and mutual guidance obtained for the nonlinear analysis and the computations.
