It is proposed that a meeting is held, hosted by INRIA/ENSTA, on June 1-2, 2004. This two-day workshop will consist of a number of talks (5 or 6 from the UK participants and a similar number from the French side). Talks will cover areas of mutual interest such as acoustic resonances and guided waves; modal methods in acoustics; matched asymptotic expansions for problems with a small parameter; and applications of the Wiener-Hopf technique.
