Summary on Grant Application Form
The research programme will develop new molecular-based compounds which are both compatible with the soil environment and are catalytically active for the reductive dechlorination of polyaromatic hydrocarbons. These studies will involve the synthesis of a range of cyclopentadienyl titanium complexes to see if structureactivity relationships can be developed. Novel active catalysts would be evaluated as homogeneous catalysts for PCB dechlorination.
