Summary on Grant Application Form
Operator theory is a powerful tool in tackling problems in the physical sciences, engineering and other areas of mathematics. The workshop proposes to bring together leading experts in this area, concentrating in those topics of particular interest to British mathematicians, including those working in more applied areas. The programme will provide plenty of time for contributed talks, informal discussions and new collaborations. It encourages the participation of younger researchers and postgraduates. The programme is being organised by several eminent mathematicians from the UK, Europe and the US, and covers topics which are currently of great interest, including multivariate operator theory, spectral theory, operator spaces and applications.Operator theory is a powerful tool in tackling problems in the physical sciences, engineering and other areas of mathematics.
