Summary on Grant Application Form
The key research is the identification of key attributes required by specific model applications to provide guidance in the building of models, the development of special model metrics to help characterise models, metrics which will differ according to the stage of model development, the identification of key characteristics of data required for model validation, the development of methods for model transformation required by the different solution procedures, and finally the development of agents to support the instantiation of models into code. In summary, the key work proposed is the identification and development of the specifications and characteristics of a multi-agent system which aids process modelers in their task of model building. The proposal is to develop the ground work for such a system.
