This project is an extension of a previous EU funded Public Awareness project carried out across Europe. It makes use of and adapts a mobile exhibition of composite materials - their properties and uses - which has spent the last summer touring around Europe attracting over 40,000 visitors.This project aims to utilise a very brief window of opportunity to borrow and adapt the exhibition and tour it around the UK, particularly with the aim of attracting schools, who were not a specific target during the previous project.During last summer, the exhibition spent 1 week in the UK and visited 3 cities attracting around 500 visitors per day. This new project will tour the exhibition for 3 months around schools, universities and places of public interest (from science museums to shopping centres) in order to attract as wide a sector of the public as possible.
