Summary on Grant Application Form
The Institute of Applied Catalysis and the University of Bath have collaborated in running a course entitled Industrial Catalytic Processes on three occasions. The course was first run in 1998 and again in 1999, and 2001. It will be run for the fourth time in October 2003. The course is unique in several respects. It attracts participants from both industry and academia; it consists primarily of case studies taught by industrial staff with a high teacher/participant ratio; it is highly participative and it crosses the chemistry/chemical engineering disciplines in terms of participants, teachers and content. This proposal is for funding of bursaries for Research Students and PDRAs to enable them to attend the course.
