Summary on Grant Application Form
We wish to challenge the current methodologies of inducing cell aggregation to form 3D prototype tissues. We hypothesize that large populations of cells can be chemically cross-linked to form organised tissue like-structures. This self-assembly will allow the rapid formation of complex architectures that promote the homotypic and heterotypic cell interactions required for optimal tissue regeneration and function.
