Summary on Grant Application Form
The proposed research is based on the successive areas (1), (2) listed in 'Objectives' above. The VF and PI are to check on and discuss the formulations for the new problems involved in areas (1) (violent impacts, crystal growth, car problems, sorting problems), (2), taking account of recent studies performed. The VF is to help with tackling computationally area (1) and, if possible, area (2). Comparisons and guidance are to be addressed with emphasis on unsteadiness. The order of working is envisaged as (1)-(2).A promising collaboration has started up between the PI and VF, and the added value of the visit would be in the tailored computations, quantitative comparisons and mutual guidance obtained for the nonlinear theory and the computations. Keywords: modelling, industrial, biomedical, droplets, crystals, bends, branchings, unsteadiness.
