The objective is to enthuse the public, teachers, and through them, students at schools and colleges, about contemporary processes employed by the chemical and associated industrial sector by adding two, user-friendly resource which greatly enhances the material currently available. Specifically to develop two websites that together: increase students' and teachers' knowledge of contemporary practice in the chemical and associated industry, and to encourage use of this information in the learning and teaching of chemistry challenge specification, examination and text book writers to use more up-to-date information about the industry change public understanding of how responsible industry is operating, from the currently held poor perception (see \LORI, The Public Image of the Chemical Industry 2002, research study poll conducted on for the Chemical Industries Association, published 2002) to one which is better informed.The websites will be promoted to schools and colleges by means of a flier and to the public through links with related sites and search engines.
