The EngD Centre in Power Electronics, Drives and Machines at the University of Newcastle will address the urgent need for engineers to exploit the technical opportunities for new electric drives and electromagnetic actuators in the aerospace, automotive, appliance, manufacturing and energy industries. These engineers will be provided with the correct blend of specialist skills, and experience of innovation in an industrial context. The programme will utilise the laboratory facilities, research experience and strong industrial relationships of one of the worlds leading research group in Power Electronics, Drives and Machines.
