Summary on Grant Application Form
The proposed workshop will concentrate on four topics and their connections: 1. Hochschild cohomology of finite-dimensional (non-commutative) algebras.2. Hochschild cohomology and group cohomology, applications to modular representation theory. 3. Hochschild cohomology in topology, Mackey functors, cyclic homology.4. Hochschild cohomology and relations to geometry, commutative algebras, varieties of modules.Key questions to be discussed are: Finite generation of cohomology algebras, periodicity of cohomology, how to define cohomological varieties in the non-commutative setup and how to compute Hochschild cohomology.
