Summary on Grant Application Form
We propose to study the K theory of moduli spaces of semi-stable G-bundles of Riemann surfaces using the new methods of twisted K theory and the (older) quantization commutes with reduction results. In the smooth case we must recover the results of Jeffrey, Kirwan and Witten's formulas in the singular case, the relation to ordinary and intersection cohomology is unknown and we plan to study low-dimensional examples. In all cases we expect to get new results about the stack of G-bundles.
