Summary on Grant Application Form
The proposal is to invite Dr HM Tutuncu (currently at Steacie Institute for Molecular Sciences, Ottawa, Canada) to spend one month with me and consolidate our long established collaboration. We propose to extend our present Bond Charge Model (BCM) of surface phonon calculations beyond the III-V (110) and Si (001)-(2x1) surfaces to include calculations for the III-V (001) surfaces. We also propose to further development of of the Linear-Response-Pseudopotential theory and of the writing of computer code which will enable us to complement our work on surface phonons using the BCM. Our currently undertaken work will be analysed and prepared for presentation at the ECOSS21 conference.
