|
Over the past seven years EPSRC have sponsered the Summer School in Computer Vision held in Surrey University, and aimed mainly at first year PhD students supported by EPSRC who started their theses in the general area of Computer Vision. The school has been very successful and popular among the students. We hope that EPSRC will carry on supporting this school for the next three years. The school is organised with the assistancxe of the British Machine Vision Association and Society for Pattern Recognition. It consists of lectures, tutorials and practical sessions on diverse topics. It is intended that the school will complement existent technical material that most students need in the first year of their postgraduate training.
