The project will enable the named VF - Dr Cristina Masoller - to undertake theoretical work on fundamental issues related to chaos synchronisation in external cavity laser diodes. Attention will be given to both edge-emitting and Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers. The project will complement experimental studies being performed at Bangor.
