Summary on Grant Application Form
The propsal addresses two important issues. First, the development of innovative approaches to the re-distribution of computational cells (nodes) during simulation, so that they are located in areas of highest field variation. This will significantly enhance computational efficiency and accuracy especially in electrically large practical problems. Second, in most practical systems there are significant variations in the dimensions, material properties and placement of significant features. Current models do not allow for account to be taken of the fuzziness of input parameters. We propose to investigate novel approaches to simulation where from one or a small number of computations the fuzziness of the output data can be determined.
