Summary on Grant Application Form
Large deviations, Dirichlet forms and symmetric Markov processes are well known central research areas of stochastic analysis with applications to many other areas of mathematics, such as statistical mechanics, partial differential equations , particle systems etc. The proposed research aims to carry out two well defined, specified projects in above areas:(1) to obtain a small time large deviation principle for diffusion processes on configuration spaces, which can be identified as infinitely many interacting random particles, and to apply the result to interesting models in statistical mechanics.(2) to characterize the relations of the Dirichlet forms of symmetric Markov processes which have equivalent laws, and to apply the results to concrete symmetric Markov processes.
