Summary on Grant Application Form
The purpose of this symposium is to bring together experts in topology, geometry and quantum field theory and to exchange ideas and further our understanding of the interconnections between these fields. In recent years there have been major developments in string theory, M-theory and quantum gravity. At the same time exciting new results have been obtained in K-theory, elliptic cohomology, symplectic geometry and string topology. The symposium presents an opportunity to discuss their relevance to other fields. This will generate new initiatives.
