Summary on Grant Application Form
The aim of the project is to provide a novel technology for the joint estimation of DOA and time delay with high resolution, computational efficiency and automatic determination of parameters using the array antenna at the base station in CDMA systems. Most works on the estimation of the delay and the DOA are carried out separately. But clearly there is a theoretical limit of the resolvable users either in the adaptive array antenna system or CDMA system. By making use of the information on both DOA and delay time, we aim to increase the number of resolvable incident signals. Algorithms for signal processing will be developed and the system performance will be evaluated by numerical simulation.
