Summary on Grant Application Form
This is an application for a visiting fellow to enable Prof. Alden Wright of the university of Montana to visit the University of Birmingham for a year (Aug 2001-Aug2002). Prof. Wright is a recognised expert in the field of evolutionary computation, especially in the theoretical analysis of such algorithms. The school of computer science at the University of Birmingham is now one of the leading institutions for the field of research. It is proposed that Prof. Wright will work with Jonathan Rowe for a period of a year on a number of theoretical questions, outlined in the objectives above. It should be noted that the University of Montana will continue 75% of Prof. Wright's salary during the visit.
