Summary on Grant Application Form
The research will involve use of a flow membrane reactor for the phase transfer catalysed selective oxidation of alcohols, alkylaromatics and alkenes. This will build on the EPSRC-funded chemistry-chemical engineering project on catalytic membrane reactors. The research will include the optimisation of the oxidation processes, the immobilisation of the catalyst on the membrane, and the study of membrane fouling.
