Summary on Grant Application Form
The grant will finance two formative stages in a major international research and dissemination programme, which focus on measures to reduce transport problems in urban areas. The first is the prototype for an electronic Knowledgebase, collating up to date international experience, which will benefit both researchers and practitioners. The second is the development of an international research agenda. Both will be overseen by a new Special Interest Group of the World Conference on Transport Research Society, co-ordinated by Leeds, which will provide longer-term continuity for the programme. Resources are sought to design the prototype, provide two examples, and co-ordinate development of the research agenda.
