|
The aim of the proposed network is to build on a preliminary inter-disciplinary grouping and develop a forum for the sharing of knowledge, experiences and best practices in new product development (NPD). Successful NPD increasingly relies on the transfer of knowledge across disciplines, organisational types and industry sectors. The network will bring together industry practitioners and academics who are interested in working together to address key NPD issues, improve NPD effectiveness and promote NPD across all sectors of industry. The network will develop regular and structured themed workshops and organise an integrated conference. Wide dissemination of knowledge will be achieved through regular reports on state of the art practices emanating from the workshops, conference proceedings and a book on NPD case studies and trends.
