The proposed research will take place in two of our six Research institutes: Science, Engineering and Environments (SEERI) and Business and Informatics (BIRI).* Centre for Materials Research (within SEERI): a range of essential new equipment and enhancements of existing equipment to support cross-boundary research in materials and related sciences;* Centre for Acoustics with The Institute foe Environmental Sciences (within SEERI): outdoor sound measuring instruments to support hydrometerology and acoustics research in the environment;* Business and Informatics Research Institute: To provide IT equipment to allow researchers across several disciplines, including Construction and Property Management and Virtual Environments, to build on current strengths and to collaborate in developing new improved processes for product design for use in a range of industries.
