Professor Engl will bring expertise in the area of nonlinear inverse problems to Oxford which will allow collaboration on a number of industrial problems. He will also give course for graduates on the inverse problems and make visits to other UK universities including Loughborough, Aberystwyth and UMIST to discuss research. He and his colleagues from Linz will feature prominently in the UK Inverse Problems Workshops in February and May 2001
