|
The research aims to increase the understanding of the mathematical properties of Frobenius manifolds and their associated algebraic and geometric structures, in particular, this includes:(i) the development of the theory of sub-Frobenius manifolds and the construction of examples based on the foldings of Coxeter groups. The connections between sub-Frobenius manifolds and the singularities and zeros of the isomonodromic tau-function;(ii) the construction of solutions to Getzler's equations for semi-simle Frobenius manifolds and the connection to the isomonodromic tau-function and the deformation of certain hydrodynamic system(iii) the understanding of the nature of the obstruction to the integrable deformation of general hydrodynamic systems.Longer term objectives are to develop a consistent theory of integrable solitonic systems based on the deformation of hydrodynamic systems. It is expected that the obstruction to the deformation of such a system will be cohomological in nature, and that the existence of an integrable solitonic system may be formulated in terms of the vanishing of a cohomology group.
