Summary on Grant Application Form
The proposed network will assemble a mixed group of about 30 academics and 30 industrialists. It will develop research programme proposals according to an overall strategy defined by the member companies of SOCSA in collaboration with academics. The research results will aid SOCSA companies in predicting how to handle the potential wastes generated when synthesising a new chemical; thus allowing a faster time to market and more competitive and accurate bidding for new contracts. The Network will include experts from several disciplines to allow us to increase the predictability of treatment routes for new molecules, and improve the technology of handling and recycling materials in difficult mixed organic and inorganic waste streams. Final purity levels will be aimed at levels that promote recycling. The network will exchange information, help train each other's students, and write collaborative proposals. The industrial collaborators will prioritise the proposals and make commitments to support the research work in services, equipment, and kind according to their prioritisation. The programme will last 3 years.EngProg\
