Summary on Grant Application Form
This proposal is for a Masters level training package focusing on Electronic Commerce technologies. It is designed to meet the national need for skilled technologists in that area. The flexible delivery model is designed for both traditional full-time Masters students and those currently in employment seeking standalone, modular units. The Package has a particular focus on the role of knowledge within E-Commerce processes. During the period of EPSRC funding, our aims are as follows: to develop a series of linked units plus support materials (Web-based); to recruit and train four full-time student cohorts; to promote the Package as widely as possible at local, regional and national levels; to encourage employer engagement in the Package at all levels via input into design and delivery (including project collaboration); to use the Package as a vehicle for technology transfer; to see the number of students funded by means other than EPSRC row throughout the initial period.
