Summary on Grant Application Form
The core of the MTP provides specialised knowledge and practical training in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of drug substances and related substances in formulations, biological matrices and herbal preparations. The aims would be achieved by a combination of lectures, laboratory work, CAL programs, and oral and written presentations of laboratory work, literature reviews and research project. On completing the MTP a student would have sufficient knowledge and skills to be capable of integrating into a modern pharmaceutical laboratory operating to the standards of GLP and GMP.The modular structure of the Training Package would provide an opportunity for the development of a part-time training programme leading to a postgraduate qualification (MSc or PgD). There has also been substantialsupport from the pharmaceutical sector for this development and for the possibility that employees could attend selected course modules as art of a CPD programme.
