Summary on Grant Application Form
There is a desperate shortage of qualified Building Services Electrical Engineering in the UK. Also many Building Services consultancies are deficient in expertise in future sustainable technologies, controls and lighting. To meet this need it is proposed to establish this distance-learning MSc Programme primarily for employees in building services engineering consultancies and contracting companies. Aims:1. For the 13 member industry-led Steering Committee for this Programme, to determine the detailed syllabuses and writing teams for the modules;2. To develop web-supported distance learning modules, for MSc, Matching Section, Postgraduate diploma, (and CPD courses), in collaboration with industrial collaborators;3. To enrol delegates in 2001/002 with reducing EPSRC funding over 5 years.
