|
This programme establishes a postgraduate M-Sc. course to train students in modem chemistry with the specific intention of providing skills required by British industry. Emphasis will be placed on technology transfer, data handling, experimental protocols, and those areas of topical science which are of current interest to industry. The intake is expected to comprise 15 students. All taught material will be available in the form of lecture notes, specialised monographs, and CD-ROMs. Invited lecturers will contribute to the course and participants will undertake an extended research project. An Industrial Advisory Board will advise on course material, teaching effectiveness, and technology transfer. Members of the LAB will help supervise the research project and will monitor progress of the M.Sc. Course material will be modified annually so as to remain topical.
