Summary on Grant Application Form
The programme of research will study the inter- and intramolecular cyclisations of silylated methylenecyclopropanes withi) ketones; ii) imines; iii) Michael acceptors; and iv) epoxidesWe will investigate a range of Lewis, Bronsted and superacids, (including chiral Lewis acids) to mediate the reaction and consider the effect of the silyl substituent on the outcome of the reaction.
