Summary on Grant Application Form
The proposed seminar is the third in a series held over the last two years. It is intended to bring some of the most prominent researchers in multiphase flow from the UK and Japan together. The purpose of the meeting is to foster closer relations between research groups in the field in the two countries and to enhance the possibilities of tangible research collaboration in an area vital to many industries. The seminar will involve presentations of the latest work performed in both countries as well as detailed discussion and consultation sessions. The invited UK delegation would involve participants from several universities (Imperial College, Nottingham, Surrey, Strathclyde, Heriot-Watt, Bradford) as well as from AEA-Harwell. The Japanese delegation includes some of the world leading experts in multiphase flow and comprise: Professors Hibiki, Mishima, Okawa, Ozawa, Serizawa, Takamasa Tomiyama and Watanabe.
