Summary on Grant Application Form
The project is concerned with the exploitation of recently prepared nano-sized polymetallic structures utilising the dithiocarbamate ligand as a self-assembling motif. The incorporation of the dithiocarbamate moiety into various acyclic, macrocyclic and calixarene based structural frameworks will through judicious choice of metal template lead to the self-assembled syntheses of a series of novel architectures exhibiting unique electronic, magnetic, optical and inclusion properties.
