Summary on Grant Application Form
The present proposal aims to obtain funding for a travel grant for the proponent to visit a number of academic and research centres in Australia and New Zealand specialising in research in seismic vulnerability of non engineered structures and structural masonry. These two topics represent the major interest of research of the proponent, which has been conducting extensive work documented in several publications. This is a field of increasing interest in this two countries with centres of excellence and researchers of interantional reputation. The visit will entail meeting with directors of research centres as Melbourne University, Newcastle University and University of Victoria at Wellington; visits of laboratory facilities; presentation of my current research activity through a number of seminars; discussion leading to the setting of an interantional network of research groups in this field.
