Summary on Grant Application Form
This project is focused on the development of generic methods for the modelling, identification and analysis of spatio-temporal systems. This will involve deriving new algorithms which can determine the model architecture, the size and topology of the coupling spatial neighbourhood together with the temporal range of Coupled Map Lattice models, the use of a new minimal realisation for Cellular Automata models to locate regional interactions which can be used to prime the CML topology searches, the identification and analysis of binary CA models, a study of the effects of noise and the application of some of the methods to neuro-images.
